The 125,000 square-foot hospital will be a freestanding facility on the main campus of University Community Hospital in Tampa. The facility will include a 52-bed pre/post cardiovascular interventional unit, 16 cardiovascular critical care beds, a 20-bed cardiac surgery recovery unit, 48 progressive care beds, 5 surgical suites, 10 cardiac catheterization/invasive procedure suites, additional diagnostic equipment, and a comprehensive rehabilitation program.

Great attention has been given to creating a patient focused, patient friendly environment, so a concierge will welcome patients and their families into an inviting lobby, with soft lighting, warm colors and comfortable furnishings. The two-story main entrance will feature an open staircase and textured water wall. Every patient room will be spacious and private, reflecting our philosophy that comfortable surroundings reduce tension during critical times.
